For the recommended 15% towards a 401k, does that include the employer’s match, or is that strictly what I should be putting in?
For the recommended 15% towards a 401k, does that include the employer's match, or is that strictly what I should be putting in? Basically the title. My company matches 5%. So for the recommended 10-15% from what I've read (that's kind of a big chunk, is it really that high?), do I put in 10%, company matches 5%, and the "total" comes to 15%? Or is that 15% purely on me putting that in?
