No income for the year 2023, but I did sell my house. IRS Free File says I don't need to submit a return, other websites say I do. What do I need to do? Hey all, In 2023 I did not have any income. I did not earn any interest, did not sell any stocks, did not take any money from retirement funds, etc. I did sell my house though that I owned for 9 years and netted ~$185,000. I tried to go through the process of the IRS Free File online. At the end it said I did not have to file taxes. Confusingly...
