Can anyone explain these photos taken during solar eclipse? I have these photos my fiance took during the solar eclipse yesterday, and noticed there’s a small light underneath the sun that looks like either the moon during eclipse or new moon or a reflection of the sun during eclipse when you zoom in on it. We weren’t sure if it was a camera glitch or what else it could be? Hoping someone can answer who …

Woman Shoots At Drivers In Florida During Solar Eclipse Because ‘God’ Told Her To A woman in Florida started shooting at vehicles on the highway after “God” told her to go on a shooting spree in reaction to the solar eclipse. She laid out her plan to workers at the hotel while she was checking out. Taylon Nichelle Celestine of Georgia went through with that plan and opened fire on multiple cars on… Read more…
Here’s What The Solar Eclipse Looked Like From Space Did you get out and see the eclipse yesterday? It was quite the site to behold, or so I’m told as I’m nowhere near the path of totality. It looked mighty spectacular on the hundred of photos I’ve seen on Instagram in the last few hours, but those cell phone snaps have nothing on the view astronomers got from space… Read more…

Where You Can See the Next Total Solar Eclipse, in 2026 If you can’t get enough of totality, or missed out this time, you’ll have three more chances in the next four years in destinations like Iceland, Spain, Egypt and Australia.
My eclipse inspired makeup So…I started with a completely different vision which tried to incorporate the orange “ring of fire” look of the eclipse but that turned out to be…tragic (see last photos for a laugh). This is the final look. I feel like I’m improving but it’s going to take a lot of practice to make the original vision come to life. Makeup I used: Morphe palett…
The len’s flare caught the eclipse even though the sun looked normal at peak (we weren’t in path of total eclipse) what’s happening here? Kept thinking I’d see something in the direct photo of the sun but it is the lens flare where it is clearly visible instead there is a partial eclipse at all stages. I would post to ask science but no photos allowed. submitted by /u/Lucyloves
Eclipse photo: are these craters or image artifacts? My brother took these photos of the eclipse today and I spotted what I first assumed to be craters on the moon, but I’m not absolutely sure. Would anyone with experience in photography be able to tell if they aren’t just image artifacts? Thank you! Taken using a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. submitted by /u/Generic_Pearson
Can you watch a solar eclipse in the Apple Vision Pro? Image: AppleThis morning, remembering I’d forgotten to order eclipse glasses, I wondered out loud: Would it be an absolutely awful idea to watch today’s solar eclipse on the Apple Vision Pro? I’m extremely not a camera expert, but I seem to recall that pointing a camera at the sun is bad. However, online answers vary widely, so I put the questio…
LPT: eclipse tip LPT: you can use a welding helmet to view the eclipse over the sun Edit: using glass that is shade 12 or higher to protect from full UV rays submitted by /u/MrTeWs
I took a picture of the eclipse (~60%) through one of the eclipse veiwers, any ideas on why there is so much “clutter?” in the rest of the picture? I know the actual photo is crap, but that is not important for this (added a decent one taken through welding glass) submitted by /u/Own_Bluejay_9833
