Is there a limit to the amount of bank accounts I can own?

Is there a limit to the amount of bank accounts I can own? I’m just wondering cause I know that if you have too many credit card inquiries, it might affect the amount you can get in the future but I’m wondering if it’s the same for checking accounts.. Like would there be any possible way to own up to 100 accounts ? submitted by /u/pictureperfectpatek

Bank says I can’t continue mortgage process because I am traveling abroad for work.

Bank says I can’t continue mortgage process because I am traveling abroad for work. Currently in the process of getting a mortgage with Bank of America. Just got an email saying I can’t continue because the country I am in is “not on our approved list”, and I can continue once I am “back in the US.” I can’t find any information on Bank of America’s website about this. I am also confused because it’s not like I am getting a mort…

Cash flow Life hack for me: Multiple bank acccounts

Cash flow Life hack for me: Multiple bank acccounts I struggled with personal cash flow issues for many years. And I can’t be the only one because “balancing the checkbook” is basically a cash flow exercise. For more detail, my struggle was not tracking income and expenses, my homemade excel spread sheet is a great resource for due dates, minimum payments, balances, etc. I even made a sheet in th…

Citi Bank Not Reporting?

Citi Bank Not Reporting? All, this is a small issue, but it’s odd. Citi Bank hasn’t reported to any bureaus in 127 days at the time of this post. It’s not a big deal, as I don’t have any big purchases or credit needs coming up, but they’re reporting my balance at $1400 / $1500 for 3 months when the card has been fully paid off for 60 days. Is this normal? submitted…

I’ve been getting charged a monthly subscription for a website I don’t recall signing up for. Can I dispute with my bank? A monthly payment slipped through the cracks of my business account for 2 years. $30/MO to some credit website. Don’t recall signing up or ever using that website. I tried calling but they ask for my social to locate me. I hung up, I found an email from them on my junk folder so I logged in and canceled the payment plan but I can’t delete the ac…

Denied bank accounts

Denied bank accounts I’m 25, zero debt with a high 700s credit score thanks to Chime. I’d like to utilize what a credit union or bank has to offer that online banking cannot. I apply for a credit union or bank account once every 5 months or so as well as apply for a credit card maybe twice a year, for the past few years now. I get denied every time. It doesn’t seem …

Tried to refi my car through my bank of 10 years – declined for “insufficient deposit history”??? I’ve been with PNC bank for 10 or so years, since I got my first job at 17, have had weekly or biweekly deposits the entire time. I bought a car a year and a half ago, got a terrible rate, and now that I’ve paid a quarter of it off, I want to refinance to get a better rate (currently at 11%, my credit is almost 100 points better now, sitting aro…

Any reason not to move from First Republic Bank to Schwab for no-fee international ATM use?

Any reason not to move from First Republic Bank to Schwab for no-fee international ATM use? Was sad to see it confirmed that Chase will not maintain the no fee atm usage internationally (or even nationally). I see many people mentioning Schwab. It seems to be mainly an online bank, with only a few brick and mortar banks (most Schwab’s BnM are brokerage only). For those that may have made this exact change, how has it gone? Any concerns…

Anyone using Pay by Bank payment methods (Uk/ EU)?

Anyone using Pay by Bank payment methods (Uk/ EU)? There is a small but growing trend to have a ‘pay by bank’ payment option at the checkout. Payment links are also sent out via customer service. Effectively it’s a bank transfer but the user doesn’t need to enter their payment details. I work in the sector and wondering what people think of it? submitted by /u/iainnib

Can my mum deposit hard cash to my bank account alone without my presence at the bank? She’s in California and I’m all the way in Tennessee. I’m not flying 5 hours just to be present at the bank for her to deposit cash since its only something like 4k. Is it possible for her to just get all of my info and deposit it alone? Chase bank btw. submitted by /u/HereforFinanceAdvice

I’m about to sign for a mortgage but I have enough money in the bank for a sizable recast pretty much right away, should I?

I’m about to sign for a mortgage but I have enough money in the bank for a sizable recast pretty much right away, should I? Bit of background here: So I’ve been hesitant to invest in anything more volatile than a savings account, outside of retirement contributions, pretty much my entire life, outside of about an S&P index fund holding worth around $14K (given what it started at, I probably should have put some more into that over time instead of just letting it sit …

Got scammed. Bank took care of it and reissued card. Got charged again. A couple of weeks ago, I got sucked into a scam and was charged $60. Called the bank right away only to find out that they stopped a second charge for $99 that happened immediately after the $60. They canceled my debit card and reissued a new one. They also opened an investigation. They reversed the charge after the investigation, but I was just…
