Room scanning: is there program to do it if I only have photos or video?

Room scanning: is there program to do it if I only have photos or video? I’m moving long distance and was only sent a walkthrough and some video. The place is much smaller and I need to know what will fit, hence the room scanning. The person who did the walkthrough isn’t tech savvy and I don’t think asking them to measure everything is a good idea. submitted by /u/SsjAndromeda

How to make my white paint match

How to make my white paint match This room had some black squares on it for some reason. I paint them white but the white of the paint is clearly “whiter” than the rest of the room. I do not know the original color used. I used a fast drying flat white. I still have a ton of extra. Anything I can do to get to color to match? Suggestions? submitted by /u/Visible_Floor_449…

First home, living room/kitchen/dining layout HELP: How do you fix this dark dining room? Can we make this floor plan work? If we remove some walls, will the layout even improve? Is open concept always better?

First home, living room/kitchen/dining layout HELP: How do you fix this dark dining room? Can we make this floor plan work? If we remove some walls, will the layout even improve? Is open concept always better? This house has kept me up many long nights planning, putting it into floorplanner and floorplancreator, moving things around, and stressing. I feel like I’ve exhausted my designer brain so if you have any input, I would greatly appreciate it! Here is the current floor plan as it currently stands to give some context: https://preview.redd.it/icdm…

How do I arrange my office?

How do I arrange my office? I cannot put the desk in the command position because there are too many monitors and cords so it must be against a wall. I was thinking to put the desk against the wall by the door that currently has the art on it, then putting smaller shelving + the chair on one side of the room and the sideboard on the other side of the room. Any suggestions …

I have bought a house. Now who to talk to please? Architect, interior designer, builder, decorator? I know things have to be done in my house to make it a nice home but do not know how and with whom to start.

I have bought a house. Now who to talk to please? Architect, interior designer, builder, decorator? I know things have to be done in my house to make it a nice home but do not know how and with whom to start. I start with a blank canvas (house has good bones but awful deco/floor plan) and have ZERO furniture as I bought, arriving from a different country. I think (hope!) I did the right thing in buying a house in my desired location and size, and under my top budget to have a lot of room to make the house mine month by month. The style is colonial r…

The Capitol (design review)

The Capitol (design review) I was watching the nightly news tonight (4/17/24) and was watching a report of the proceedings in the Capitol…I saw this, to me, it looked hideous. Maybe they’re symbolic, or regulated, I dunno, but with all the talent, taste and vision we have in this country, how the heck does this not matter? Gahd this is ugly. submitted by /u/Icy-T…

Vertical shower area tile? Working on redoing our main bathroom. I’m only wanting tile in the shower area and just regular paint everywhere else. Would this look good on an entire 300sqm apartment?

Would this look good on an entire 300sqm apartment? After an exhausting search I found this beautiful tile. We initially wanted to split the house into three main spaces for tiling (dining room and guest salon, kitchen and living room, bedrooms) and for bathrooms each their own style. But I’m leaning towards using this for the entire apartment, it feels like it’ll be a sleek look (and an end to …
