How to avoid blowing out step and repeat logos? Hello! I’ve been doing some work for an event photo company and was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to avoid blowing out the logos on step and repeats or other backdrops. The company’s workflow doesn’t allow time to retouch photos so it would have to be done in camera/with lighting. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks! submitted b…

Hey! I just started doing real estate photography at my brokerage, but I’m having issues “matching” the quality to the old photographer. How would I improve? Like the title says, I just started at a real estate company for house photography. Both the agent I work with, and the manager of the brokerage said my photos are good, but they’re missing something they can’t put their finger on. I’ve provided a few examples of what the previous photographer did (Image 1 and Image 2) and what I’ve taken so far…

Is this a good camera to start with? Should I…
Does anyone have advice about submitting work to photo contests? I’ve been shooting wildlife shots my whole life and this past weekend I took some pretty unique (for me anyways) pictures of a hawk and a mouse. Never gotten anything like this and I’m pretty happy with the results. I don’t think I’m going to win or anything, but I’d like to give stuff like Wildlife Photographer of the Year or Audubon a try even…
How do I avoid giving away too much for free as a hobbyist-turning-professional event photographer? Long time commercial photographer here (food and products). However, I’ve got to the point where I’ve picked favorites, and I plan to attend their live events agai…
